Author George passes on many opportunities but seems intent on just producing a wordy genealogical tree. A human rights angle could have emerged when wily musician Lomax saunters into town with cornet in hand and his penchant for spicy food. There are no "sins of the father" going-on a la " East of Eden" or Tefror.
